From there, one tap on “Create items” turns the receipt into inventory in the collection of your choice.

Which receipt formats can iTems read?
PDFs, scans and photos. PDFs with a text layer are read directly; scanned or photographed receipts go through OCR first. Either way the analysis runs in the background.
How do automatic store receipts work?
Stores that support iTems receipts deliver them digitally using the email address or phone number you give at checkout — make sure yours are added and verified in your account. The receipt lands in the collection’s receipt inbox.
Does iTems calculate the warranty for me?
Yes — from the purchase date and the warranty length. Receipt analysis fills in both when it can; you can always adjust them.
Will I see warranties before they expire?
Items within 90 days of expiry are marked “expires soon” wherever they appear, and reports can group by warranty status so nothing slips past quietly.
Is receipt scanning free?
Automatic receipt and photo analysis is part of iTems PRO. On iTems FREE you can still attach receipt files to items manually.
