What is a beta tester
Someone who sees it before everyone else does.
A beta tester uses iTems while we are still building it — the apps through TestFlight, Apple’s official app for testing, and the web straight in the browser. Then you use it exactly like the finished thing: your own devices, your own belongings, your own receipts.
The difference is that you can talk back. If something feels slow, a label reads wrong or a feature is missing, you tell us while we can still change it. Once something ships, that window closes.
There is nothing to pay and no minimum effort. Use it as much or as little as suits you — simply living with iTems for a week tells us more than any survey could.

We invite you as programs open
App betas arrive as TestFlight invitations from Apple; everything else comes as an email from us. The web beta is open already — no need to wait for that one.
Use it like the real thing
Beta builds are the same software we intend to ship, running with your own things in it. That is exactly what makes your testing valuable.
Tell us what you find
Bugs, ideas, wording, anything that annoys you. TestFlight has a feedback button built in, and the Help Center works everywhere — a screenshot and a sentence is plenty.

What does it cost?
Nothing. The beta program is free, and testing does not commit you to anything afterwards.
What do I need to take part?
For the app betas: an Apple device and TestFlight, Apple’s free app for installing beta software. For the web beta: any modern browser. Everything else arrives by email.
How long before I get access?
The web beta is open now — sign in at app.items-home.com and you are in. App betas are invitation-based: we add testers in the order they signed up, and TestFlight notifies you the moment your invitation is ready.
Is beta software safe to use?
Beta software is less finished than what we release, so expect the occasional rough edge — that is rather the point of testing. Your data is handled with the same care as always: iTems Cloud is not a beta.
How do I send feedback?
In the apps, TestFlight has a feedback button built in: take a screenshot, add a sentence, send. On the web, use the Help Center — signed in, your conversation reaches the team directly.
What happens to my email address?
It is used to invite you to beta programs and to keep you posted about them. We do not pass it on to anyone else.
