Two-factor authentication

Protect your account with an authenticator app, with SMS as the fallback.

Two-factor authentication (2FA) asks for a one-time code on top of your password, so a leaked password alone is not enough to get in.

Turn on 2FA

  1. Open security settings

    Settings → Account → Two-factor authentication.

  2. Scan the QR code

    Use any authenticator app (the setup key can also be entered manually).

  3. Confirm with a code

    Enter the six-digit code from the app to finish setup.

What if I cannot use my authenticator app?

If your account has a verified phone number, you can have a code sent by SMS at sign-in instead. The sign-in screen also has a recovery option if you have lost access to both.
