Invite family or colleagues into a collection with view or edit access.

Sharing in iTems is per collection: you invite another iTems account, and the collection shows up on their home screen.

Share a collection

  1. Make sure it is a cloud collection

    Sharing requires the collection to be in iTems Cloud — move it there first if it is local.

  2. Open sharing on the collection

    Choose the collection’s sharing option from the home screen.

  3. Invite by email

    Enter the email address of the person’s iTems account.

  4. Pick a permission

    Read lets them view everything; read & write lets them add and edit items too.

How does the other person accept?

They get the invitation in the Invitations inbox on their home screen. Once they accept, the collection appears alongside their own.

Is there a family or household account?

No separate concept is needed — a shared collection is the household. Share your home collection with everyone who lives there.
